Integrative Psychotherapy

Working with me

“I identify as a Gay man and I work with all genders and sexualities. Working with a therapist who understands some of the shared LGBTQ+ experiences helps provide a space in which to talk freely. It is important that you feel respected and safe in order to discuss whatever you feel you need to. Whilst there are many unique gifts that come with otherness there are also ongoing challenges. However you choose to identify is a rich part of Nature and of what it means to be Human.

I’m interested in how life is for you. How would you like to feel about yourself, your life and relationships and what might be getting in the way of this? Is it possible to feel free and empowered even in the face of obstacles and limitations?”

What can you expect?

  • An opportunity to talk openly without judgement about your experiences.
  • A friendly and professional approach centering around respect and encouragement.
  • Develop confidence within your life and relationships.
  • Gain understanding and compassion for all your experiences as a Gay, Bi, Queer or Trans Woman or Man.
  • Reclaim some of the lost or forgotten parts of yourself.
  • Discover new things about yourself that enables a sense of optimism and peace.

How does therapy work?

Once you decide to work together you’ll meet on a weekly basis. Regular sessions with Neil will enable him to get a clearer view on how life is for you, what you’d like to change and what might be preventing this. The aim of Neil’s practice is to help you find new ways of understanding yourself and your life situations.

We all have different parts within ourselves made up of memories and belief systems. Some of these are natural to us whilst others have been imposed or learned over time. The process of therapy can help you reclaim lost or neglected parts.

Neil supports you through this process so that recovery develops from the inside out rather than the outside in. This ensures that any changes that you make are sustainable.
